Else incinerates a shirt

Else coils a rope in the bonfire, and then douses it with a healthy amount of petrol. Once the rope is thoroughly soaked, she walks one end of it as far away from the bonfire as she can, creating a rope wick, which she then sets alight using a stick.
Unfortunately, the rope wick is not evenly coated in petrol, so there are several points along the rope where the flame stops travelling, forcing Else to lose some distance to relight it.
Eventually, Else sets a shirt on fire, hoping that she can use it to reignite the rope. When this fails, Else instead uses her fire-starting stick to pick up the flaming shirt and toss it directly onto the bonfire.
Else’s distance is not given, beyond “right next to the fire pit”, and she earns joint fourth place.
