Rhys thinks being straight is quaint

Rhys says that ‘quaint’ makes them think ‘adorably old-timey’, so they have brought in a straight, white man who works in a family-run tool shop.

When Tom Gleeson asks why being straight is quaint, Rhys asks “Well, who’s doing that anymore?”. When Tom insists that it’s still the majority of people, Rhys says that it seems very boring to them.

Rhys then insists that they don’t hate straight culture, claiming that that they think it’s a fascinating group of people. Mel then adds that she doesn’t mind it behind closed doors, but she doesn’t want it shoved down her or her kid’s throat.

Tom Gleeson says it feels like Rhys is probably going to earn 1 point. When Rhys then reveals that they had to hire an actor to play their straight, white shopkeeper, Tom thanks them for confirming that it wasn’t even true.

Rhys earns just 1 point.
